“Tell my people I tried.” - Final words of King David Kalākaua. The very thought brings tears to my eyes. Our rightful government was overthrown, but not the will to keep the Hawaiian culture alive. Forever grateful for what my Kings and Queen tried to do to make my future brighter. Eternally proud to be a Hawaiian.
